Arc flash coveralls are typically made from flame-resistant fabrics such as Nomex, Protex, or other similar materials that are designed to resist ignition and provide thermal protection. The fabric we use is fully certified inherently flame retardant, made from 40% Protex (Modacrylic) / 24% FR Viscose / 20% Polyester / 10% Cotton / 4% Aramid / 2% Antistatic.

To select the right Arc Flash coverall, start by assessing the potential arc flash energy levels in your work environment. Choose a coverall with an appropriate arc rating (cal/cm²) for adequate protection. Look for flame-resistant materials like ours, which also ensure comfort and durability. Choosing FR clothing with an arc rating matching or exceeding potential energy levels in your work environment is crucial for safety.

Arc flash coveralls should be inspected regularly for wear and damage. They should be replaced if they show signs of wear, damage, or if they no longer meet the required safety standards. It is also important to follow the care instructions meticulously. It is the responsibility of the wearer and/or employer to maintain correct usage, storage, care and also carry out their own risk assessment to ensure this garment meets the level of protection required.

Yes, our Arc flash coveralls can be washed, but it's important to follow the manufacturer's care instructions to ensure the flame-resistant properties are not compromised. The AHP001-101 and AHP001-102 are tested to withstand a max of 5 wash cycles. See our wash and care instructions here.
